Why become a tutor?
By becoming a tutor/member of Equal Education, you will have the opportunity to support children who are looked after, adopted, or have special educational needs in overcoming obstacles to learning, developing relationships based on trust, raising their expectations and realising their true potential. Our tutor community and everyone at Equal Education are wholly dedicated to this goal.
In addition to being an approved tuition partner of the National Tutoring Programme, we are also a member of the Fair Education Alliance.

We offer our tutors rates from £31-£45 depending on key stage.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification*
Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Understanding of working with vulnerable young people with a range of needs and communication styles
Ability to tailor provision based on information provided in documentation e.g Educational Health and Care Plan
Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and experience in supporting children to self-regulate emotions
Excellent in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting
Valid Enhanced DBS check
* Equal Education accepts a variety of Teaching Qualifications. Please note that we have additional recruitment criteria/requirements for some of the teaching qualifications. As an Equal Education tutor you will automatically receive the schedule of events, access to online resources and invitations via email. We are in the process of implementing an online library for even easier access.
